New Adventure Began

After nearly two years of preparation - both mentally, physially, and with countless application papers - I finally stepped in to my new adventure in Germany. The days leading up to my departure were filled with farewell parties, each one overflowing with laughter, love, and heartfelt goodbyes from my family, relatives, and friends.
With gratitude in my heart, and the longest, warmest hugs from my mum, sister, cousin and brother-in-law, I stepped in the departure gate. I ended up crying even more than I expected, and of course, those are tears of happiness and warmth from our hearts. A bitterstweet moment that I would never forget.
Sleeping on the plane is never a harsh task for me, I can easily drift off to sleep anywhere, even in a noisy restaurant when I was small. As I settled on on the flight was peaceful and relaxed, until…

I almost missed my second flght!
Arriving at the Helsinki Airport around 5:55 am, I had only 30 mins to make my connection. The security check was the strictest I had ever! I felt slightly panic, and I explained my situation to the staffs with serious poker faces, that I have less than 7 mins until my second flight, to my relief, they smiled ( ! ) and let me pass immediately.

“Take a deep breath”
another staff for passport security check said to me, “Finnair will wait for you.”

Their kindness made a big contrast from the first impression, and eased my nerves. Thank them so much, I dashed through the airport, making it 5 mins late, but i made it! Phew.

As the plane took off towards Hamburg, I saw one of the most beautiful sunrises i had ever seen. Relfecting the vibrant colours and excitment in my heart.
