Simple Use Film Camera - Optimistic Ox
Packaging Design & Art Direction  |   International   |   2021

As the Suminagashi artist and the designer of the Lomography Simple Use Film Camera - Optimistic Ox Edition, I merged my traditional Suminagashi art with contemporary design, managed the art direction for mood shots, and steered the design direction for its promotional materials. My role also involved collaborating with international teams on product photography, both on-site and remotely.
In the wake of 2020's waves, my aspiration for the Lomography Simple Use Film Camera - Optimistic Ox Edition was to encapsulate our collective resilience. It's a tribute to endurance, with swirling Suminagashi patterns that mirror life's vibrant unpredictability. The camera, adorned with a steadfast Golden Ox, signifies perseverance and hope. It's more than a tool—it's a companion for the journey ahead, ready to capture moments of joy with a touch of golden optimism. Simple, yet profound, it's a snapshot of the spirit we carry into the New Ox Year.
