"A Journey of Rediscovery" Series — 2023
This series combines Suminagashi art and analogue photography with cross-processing in slide film; it portrays two journeys of reconciliation and rediscovery in Germany and the Czech Republic. Through E-6 to C-41 processing, a jammed and broken film roll was saved, transforming the photos with unexpected vibrant colours. Suminagashi patterns blend with the photo prints, echoing the emotions of the journey and capturing the unexpected beauty found in what was once lost.
